This product is now discontinued
The Pioneer VSX-922 is now discontinued. Pioneer stopped making it in February 2013 and all stock has now been sold out both in our warehouse and in Pioneer so we can no longer supply it. Pioneer will be bringing out a replacement in June 2013 but as of today (13th March 2013) there is no information yet on it. Please get in touch if you'd like us to find the perfect AV receiver for you.
Product description
Released in June 2012, the Pioneer VSX-922 is a fantastic step up from its predecessor, the Pioneer VSX-921. It has a full 7 channels of sound running at 150W each so is sure to get your home rocking with great cinema sound.
The usual features we have come to expect from Pioneer are of course here - theres an incredible 6 HDMI inputs (we struggle to think how you could use so many!) along with a component connection plus some composites just in case you need them. Upscaling is included, and the VSX-922 can upscale to 1080p. Perfect!
Wire it into your router, and you can access a host of network feattures such as internet radio through Vtuner, or stream music from your PC. You can also enjoy Apple AirPlay so you can stream music wirelessly from any nearby iPod,iPhone and iPad. Like most AV receivers, the network connection is wired but you can purchase the optional ASW-L300 wireless adaptor to allow you to connect wirelessly. Once you are connected, we recommend downloading the Pioneer iControlAV2012 app to your iPhone or android phone as it allows you to completely control your AV receiver from your phone.
Amongst all this you can sometimes forget that the VSX-922 is primarily an AV receiver, and it handles both movies and music with ease. We like the audio sound particulary, which as always has Pioneer's ear for great stereo sound.
Have you purchased the Pioneer VSX-922 AV Receiver?
